FAQs

What does EngraveReady create?

EngraveReady creates downloadable PNG line art from customer photos, intended as artwork input for laser engraving workflows.

What photos work best?

Use a clear, well-lit photo where the subject is large in the frame. Faces, pets, vehicles, and product edges should be visible and not heavily blurred.

Can I use iPhone photos?

Yes. The app accepts common phone photo formats including JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and HEIF.

Should I remove the background?

Use background removal when the subject is surrounded by clutter. Turn it off when the background is part of the engraving or the photo is already clean.

Is the PNG ready to engrave immediately?

Treat the PNG as production artwork input. Always inspect the result and test laser power, speed, size, and material settings before making the final product.

Can I regenerate artwork?

Yes. You can change filters and regenerate from the current upload while it is available. Each generation uses one credit.

How long are images available?

Source photos are kept temporarily for the active workflow. Generated PNGs remain available in account history for 30 days.

What should I do if the result is bad?

Use the support link with the job or artwork ID. A clearer photo, different detail level, or different line weight often improves the result.
